As Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Professor Biman Prasad becomes the first foreign leader to visit the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, he says Ayodhya invokes a lot of yearning and devotion and the feeling of connectivity and identity with India.

He says it also invokes a lot of emotional ties with India.

In an interview with DD India, Professor Prasad says Lord Ram and Ramayan have been integral part of Hindus who left India many years ago as part of indentured labourer system.

Professor Prasad has confirmed to fijivillage News that he will be visiting the temple at about 10.30pm Fiji time.
