Australia's COVID-19 death toll is more than 300

The State of Victoria in Australia has recorded its deadliest day of the COVID-19 pandemic, with 19 deaths overnight.

The state has also recorded 322 new cases of COVID-19.

Australia's death toll has now surpassed 300, with 314 people losing their lives to COVID-19.

Of those, 229 lives lost were from Victoria.
