The new Australian government is working on a change that will allow people working on a longer visa to bring their families with them.

This was highlighted by Australia’s Foreign Affairs Minister Senator Penny Wong while speaking to Fijians selected to go and work in Australia.

Wong says they see Fiji as family in Australia.

Minister for Employment Parveen Bala has also requested Wong that if Australia can increase the number of Fijians that can go and work in Australia.

Bala says they welcome the statement that Australia wants to strengthen the Vuvale partnership.
