Arrangements made to pick 110 passengers
Arrangements are being made to send a vessel to pick the 110 passengers of the Spirit of Fiji Islands from Koro Island as the ferry got stuck on a reef near the island this morning.

All the passengers are safe on the island.

It has been confirmed that at about 5 this morning MV SOFI was pulling out from Koro Island when a sudden gust of wind came to her Port side.

Consort Shipping Limited General Manager, Adriel Prasad said all safety and emergency procedures have been activated by the company.
 
 
Prasad said more details are expected to be released later today.
