The Turaga-ni-koro of Bucalevu Village in Ra, Epeli Sasau says new market opportunities are now available for farmers in their village which will give a boost to their income.

Sasau made this comment following the commissioning of the Navola Nabediva Farm Road.

Sasau says to only be able to take horses up to their farm to transport their produce back to the village was not easy and the impact that this farm road will bring to the people of Bucalevu cannot be measured.

This initiative will help around 50 farmers.

Minister for Agriculture, Dr. Mahendra Reddy says the farm road was critical in order for iTaukei farming communities to undertake meaningful commercial agriculture.
