The Fiji Taxi Union Annual General Meeting (AGM) was abruptly stopped this afternoon after an argument started between union members and executives with Police having to be called in.
Union Committee Member Rajesh Sharma said many members were fed up with the constant changes in the Constitution and were ready for a change in Board members.
However, General Secretary Rishi Ram said the whole Union knew what the meeting was about and all that happened was only due to misunderstanding.
The AGM was supposed to elect new Board member and to discuss issues ranging from the taxi fare decrease.
Ram added that they will be seeking legal aid before taking any step.
