Approved auto electrical companies to install e-ticketing machines in buses

The e-ticketing machines that will be installed in buses will be done by approved auto electrical companies and certifications will be issued once the installation is done.

Vodafone’s Head of e-Commerce and Corporate Affairs Shalendra Prasad says proper systems and procedures are now in place for the installation of the machines.

Prasad says a bus is a moving unit and there are a number of electrical works that happen on a bus like lights and the sound system.

He says this time around they are making sure that they follow standards and they have asked the LTA to ensure that bus companies have proper drawings that are approved and this time they are ascertaining that this is followed.

Prasad says they are asking for specific details of people when they register to get the e-ticketing card for security purposes and to protect the owner of the card.

The e-ticketing cards are being given out free.
