Team Fiji’s Kesaia Boletakanakadavu.

After a disappointing outing in the senior women’s 100 metres heats of the Oceania Athletics Championship yesterday, Team Fiji’s Kesaia Boletakanakadavu will have a steeper hill to climb as she faces off with Australia’s Torrie Lewis in the senior women’s 200 metres heats this afternoon.

Boletakanakadavu finished 7th in her 100 metres heats yesterday and her 200 metres event today will gauge her stands among the world's best.

Lewis created a huge upset at the Diamond League Championship after defeating the World 100m Champion Sha'Carri Richardson of the United States of America at the Diamond League Championship.

The 200 metres race will begin at 1.50pm today in the men's steeplechase final.

Meanwhile, day 6 of the Championship is currently underway at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva and events that will take place today include hammer throw for the senior men, the 100 metres for the under 16 for both men and women, under 16 javelins for men, the 200 metres for both senior men and women, and under 18 men and women 200 metres.
