An agent for a driving school instructor in the Western Division who has been charged for corruption has been released on bail by Magistrate Samuela Qica.

FICAC has charged Nilesh Lal with one count of corrupt transactions with agents.

It is alleged that Lal accepted advantage of $60 on account of him forbearing to conduct the compulsory 10 hours theory classroom for two private individuals.

The alleged incident occurred between 1st October 2019 and 31st December 2019 in Sigatoka.

Lal has been released on a cash bail of $1000 to report to the Sigatoka Police Station on the last Friday of every month from 6am to 6pm.

The case will be called on 11th February next year.
