Altaaf fulfills father’s dream of becoming a Police officer
Newly recruited Police Constable Abdul Altaaf

Fulfilling his father’s dream is what newly recruited Police Constable Abdul Altaaf achieved after he graduated from the Police Basic Recruitment Course at the Nasova Police Training Academy.

Speaking to fijivillage News after the pass-out parade, Altaaf says becoming a Police officer was not his dream job, but it came through his parents.

Altaaf says his father wanted to be a Police officer, but he couldn’t.

He says he chose to join the Force to serve the people of Fiji.

He also highlighted that the training was very challenging and he wanted to give up in the first week of training.

Altaaf says what made him push through these challenges is his family back home and his son, who turned 1-month old when he started his training.

The father of two will be posted at the Lautoka Police Station and says he is hoping to make a major impact on the lives of youths.
