Allocation of polling stations and registered voters underway
The Elections Office is now working on ways to secure more rooms at proposed polling venues to ensure that there are more streams of voters at a particular location during the one day of polling.

Supervisor of Elections, Mohammed Saneem confirmed that their target is to have about 500 voters per polling station.

Saneem said allocation of polling stations and registered voters is now underway.

He said the allocation process is based on the scenario which they have already discussed.

Saneem said they are looking at the allocating voters to polling stations by people's names and addresses.

A provisional list is expected to be out by next month.

Saneem confirmed that the lists will be given to various government offices in different divisions including Divisional Offices.

He also said that list will also be provided to the political parties.
