Two hours remain for the biggest show in the South Pacific to kick off where young people will express issues important to them through creative arts.
More than 450 students will battle it out tonight with pumping music, dance, drama and art in the FM96 Tadra Kahani with Connect supported by BSPLife and Fijivillage.
The students will portray real life issues like Violence Against Women, Reality In Dream, Human Trafficking, Poverty, Financial Problems, Life-Light verses Darkness, Youths to take up Responsibilities and Gambling.
Lomary Secondary School coordinator Josaia Waiwalu said that audience should expect fireworks in tonight’s FM96 Tadra Kahani with Connect and supported by BSPLife.
With the theme “Poverty Unchanged in Justice”, Waiwalu believes their performance will advocate on poverty as it is one of the major issues in Fiji.
Waiwalu added that the students are ready to rock the stage.
Meanwhile, another school that will be performing is International School Nadi with their theme “Youth throughout the Ages - Taking Responsibilities”.
International School Nadi coordinator Albert Eastgate said since they are the only school from the West, they will try their best.
Eastgate added the students are all excited to get on stage tonight.
The Vodafone Arena will rock with 10,000 watts of sound and $1.4 million worth of lights that will be used by SPR for the show.
Organizer of the show, Total Event Company manager Loretta Jackson, said people have to watch Tadra Kahani live to experience the atmosphere.
The schools that are participating to win this year’s Tadra Kahani trophy are defending champion Cathedral Secondary School, Dilkusha Methodist High School, Lomary Secondary School, International School Suva, International School Nadi, Suva Grammar School, the Blue Light Fiji group, John Wesley College and Basden College.
The winner gets $2,500, the first runner-up gets $1,500 while the second runner-up gets $1,000.
Tickets are also been sold at the main gate which also opens this hour.
Tadra Kahani starts at the Vodafone Arena at 7 tonight.
