Due to the Tropical Cyclone Alert in force for most areas of the country, as a precautionary measure, all schools in Fiji will be closed today and tomorrow.
Schools will be made available as evacuation centres to provide shelter to those affected by severe weather conditions.
The Ministry of Education and disaster officials will continue to monitor the situation and provide regular updates as to when schools can be safely reopened for students and teachers.
