All non-essential civil servants across the country are again advised to assess their situation and decide accordingly whether to report to work or work from home today.

The Government says following the approval of Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka and careful consideration of the adverse weather presently affecting the country, this decision was made.

They continue to urge other employers to exercise their discretion and advise their employees accordingly, and it is imperative that we prioritise the safety of our employees and their families above all else.

The Government adds that together with the Ministry of Civil Service, the Fiji NDMO will revise this decision and subsequently issue an advisory.
