Education Minister Rosy Akbar.

Education Minister Rosy Akbar says it does not depend on whether Fiji wants Professor Pal Ahluwalia to continue as Vice-Chancellor of USP because the decision will be made by the USP Council.

She says Fiji wants due process to be followed.

Today, the USP Council will discuss the findings of the subcommittee which looked at issues surrounding Ahluwalia’s contract.

The committee is headed by Nauru President and USP Chancellor, Lionel Aingimea, one representative each from Australia, Samoa, Tonga, Niue, Solomon Islands, and two representatives from the USP Senate.
