Carlos Alcaraz breezed past Daniil Medvedev to win the Indian Wells title and return to world number one.

The 19-year-old only needed one hour 11 minutes to seal a 6-3 6-2 win that took him above Novak Djokovic at the top of the ATP rankings.

Djokovic was forced to withdraw from the tournament because he was not vaccinated against COVID-19.

He will also miss this week's Miami Open, where Alcaraz is the defending champion.
