Japan and Fiji talking about assistance for schools damaged by TC Harold

Education Minister Rosy Akbar has revealed today that they are having discussions with the Japanese government about helping rebuild schools that were damaged in Kadavu during TC Harold.

Akbar says they are talking and hopefully they can get assistance for those schools.

She says they are working with the office of the Japanese Ambassador Omura Masahiro to see how best they can partner.

Akbar made the comments during the handover ceremony for a three classroom block at Naivicula District School in Tailevu.

The funding of $199,147 was provided by the Japanese government.
