Minister for Education Rosy Akbar has recalled the times when she used to sell vegetables to pay for her school field trips.

While speaking to students of the Christian Mission Fellowship College at their graduation, Akbar says the students now are getting most of the things that was not available before.

She has urged students to go home and ask their parents on how they went to school.

The Minister has also told the students that even though they may be struggling now, this is not the end and education will take them out of the shackles of poverty.

A total of 40 students graduated from the school with Head Boy Taniela Benaca claiming the Dux award.

Benaca says it is a very emotional moment for him.

The 17-year-old who hails from Tailevu adds he wants to become an engineer.
