Ahmed Mohammed of Natabua High School breaks sub-jnr discus record and wins gold at Lautoka Zone

Ahmed Mohammed of Natabua High School has broken the Lautoka Zone record for the sub-junior boys discus event this morning.

The new record stands at 27.54 metres breaking the record of 26.83m set in 2018.

Mohammed was in shock after his win and said he did not expect to get the record as this is his first year taking the discus event.

Natabua High School leads the boys division with 15 gold, 9 silver and 3 bronze. 

Tilak High School is in second place with 3 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze while Lautoka Andhra Sangam College is third with 2 gold and 4 silver.

Jasper Williams High School leads the girls division with  15 gold, 7 silver and 5 bronze, Natabua is in second place with 5 gold, 5 silver and 2 bronze while Saith Thomas High School is in third place with 4 gold, 5 silver and 2 bronze.
