The Permanent Secretary to the Office of the Prime Minister Yogesh Karan says agriculture remains one of the key sectors that will create jobs and build Fiji’s economy.

Karan says that is why the Fijian government is committed to developing and ensuring the agricultural sector realizes its true potential.

He reiterated Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama’s message of reassurance of support to the farmers.

Karan says from 2010 till date there were about 15,000 requests by farmers for land preparation of which more than 13,000 have been assisted.
