The Agriculture Ministry will now focus on farms that have been affected by Tropical Cyclone Gita.
Permanent Secretary for Agriculture David Kolitagane says the areas of focus will include Matuku, Totoya, Moala, Kadavu and smaller islands of Southern Lau.
The Ministry will be distributing planting materials such as Cassava and Kumala cuttings.
Kolitagane says this will be done through the assistance of the Agriculture Research division.
