Acting Prime Minister and Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum has revealed that primary schools will re-open from 7th February.

While speaking at the Lokgeet Competition at Maha Mariamann Temple in Ba, Sayed-Khaiyum says students will go to school and education is very important if we are to progress.

He says there is risk everywhere in this world and it is all about managing the risk.

Sayed-Khaiyum says the first step towards managing the risk was getting vaccinated.

We have sent questions to the Minister for Education and the Permanent Secretary regarding the announcement made by Sayed-Khaiyum and are awaiting their response.
