A fatal accident has claimed the life of a pedestrian in the Western Division this morning.
Police Spokesperson, Ana Naisoro said it is alleged that the incident took place at Namaka in Nadi around 9am when the pedestrian was hit by a vehicle driven by a security officer.
The security officer rushed the victim to hospital however he did not make it.
Naisoro said the security officer reported the incident at the Namaka Police station and is now in custody.
