About 500 people participate in the Fiji Cancer 2025 Pinktober walk

About 500 people walked in solidarity during the Pinktober 5-kilometre walk at Albert Park this morning.

Fiji Cancer Society CEO, Belinda Chan says people from all walks of life joined in to support Fiji Cancer Society and it was their biggest walk recorded.

Chan expressed her gratitude for the support and courage that the people showed for survivors and their families.

She says this year alone Fiji Cancer society has recorded over 182 cancer cases of which 69 are breast cancer cases.

Chan also highlighted that in Fiji too many lives are lost because of late detection and the stigma surrounding it.

She adds people can get tested at the Fiji Cancer society hub.
