Acting Chief Executive Officer for Land Transport Authority Irimaia Rokosawa

About five Land Transport Authority Officers have been disciplined and some dismissed for playing around with wheel tax and foreign driver's license.

This was highlighted by the Acting Chief Executive Officer for Land Transport Authority Irimaia Rokosawa during fijivillage Straight Talk with Vijay Narayan when questioned on the measures in place to address issues of corruption by LTA officers.

Rokosawa says they have received reports and have taken some officers to task as well.

He has assured that LTA has zero tolerance for any criminal-related issues or corruption practices.

The Acting CEO says they are working within their processes to ensure that they embed preventive and detective controls in their processes to illuminate incidents which create opportunists for fraudulent transactions.
