AMA to increase the number of farmers contracted

170 farmers have already signed contracts with the Agro Marketing Authority to supply crops and vegetables.

Agro Marketing Authority Chief Executive Officer Alvin Sharma says the farmers are from Nadi, Naitasiri, Sigatoka, and Ba.

Sharma says they are expecting to contract close to 600 more farmers.

He adds that farmers who are contracted with the Agro Marketing Authority plant crops like dalo, kumala, cassava, chillies, peanuts, duruka, and ginger.
