The Attorney General and Minister for Economy, Aiyaz Sayed‑Khaiyum has assured rice farmers living in Dreketi that the Government was there to assist them in a strategic manner.
He made the comments during the ground breaking ceremony of the new storage warehouse for the Fiji Rice Limited factory in Dreketi.
Sayed-Khaiyum says there has been a lot of capital input by the Government adding that the Government is there to assist in a strategic manner.
The new structure is valued at $275,000, out of which $100,000 is funded by the Government.
