The Accident Compensation Commission of Fiji has paid over $14.2 million in compensation to victims of a motor vehicle, employment and school accidents, or to the families of victims who have passed away.

The Commission held its third board meeting recently and discussed initiatives that have been brought like the removal of the old fault-based system and introduction of the no-fault feature of the scheme that has ensured many more victims of accidents are now entitled to compensation.

The Commission says victims of a motor vehicle, employment and school accidents are now able to receive compensation without delayed and unnecessary legal challenges and costs.
