Fiji Airways men’s national 7s coach Saiasi Fuli says there has been a lot of talk at the hotel where teams are camped about the new faces in the team for the Dubai 7s.

He says they recognise that there are certain challenges the new players in the team will face.

Eleven new players will make their international 7s debut for Fiji in the Dubai 7s. They are Police Blue players Joseva Talacolo and Filipe Sauturaga, Raiwasa Taveuni players Jeremaia Matana, Daniele Yaya, Iowane Raturaciri and Iowane Teba, Wardens player Tevita Daugunu, Army’s Elia Canakaivata, LAR Barbarians players Kaminieli Rasaku and Manueli Maisamoa and Panapasa Qeruqeru of the Stallions.

The Dubai 7s will be held from today to Sunday.

In the men’s competition, Fiji will face France at 7.22 tonight and will take on Canada at 10.52 tonight in the second game. Fiji will take on Australia at 3.33am tomorrow in their last pool game.

The cup quarterfinals will begin at 6.28pm tomorrow, the cup semifinal will start at 10.18pm tomorrow and the final will be played at 3.26am Sunday.
