Police have confirmed that they have found the truck that was involved in a horrific hit and run accident that claimed the life of a 56-year-old man in Maqere, Tavua.
Police say that with the help of witnesses, the truck was found in the outskirts of Tavua.
The driver is still on the run.
The 56-year-old man was crossing the road when he was hit by a truck at around 5pm yesterday afternoon.
Meanwhile, a 57‑year‑old man passed away after a horrific road accident in Nadi on Saturday.
He passed away after a head-on-collision along Denarau Road.
The road death toll stands at 33 compared to 29 last year.
