95 teams have confirmed their participation in the 49th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s.

Marist Rugby Club President, Lawrence Tikaram says this year many grassroots teams have registered and it will be a good opportunity for them to be exposed at the national level.

Tikaram confirms that there will be 52 men’s teams, 9 women’s teams, 24 U18-21 teams, 6 U18 boys teams, and 4 U18 girls teams.

The total prize money for the competition is $45,000.

Pacific Energy says this year will be their 13th year of supporting this outstanding tournament with a contribution of $15,000 in cash sponsorship, along with $5,000 worth of fuel.

They say that they deeply promote grassroots growth and development for emerging athletes in Fiji as they recognise the importance of creating opportunities that pave the way for our younger generation.

The games will be held at the HFC Bank Stadium from the 20th to the 22nd of March.
