8 drivers are in Police custody for Drink and Drive as police confirm speeding topped traffic infringement bookings from 6am yesterday to 6am this morning.

Police are advising members of the public that if drivers care about their loved ones waiting home, they should adhere to road rules and advisories in order to minimise accidents happening on our roads.

Police say continuing to speed or drive when under the influence of alcohol, increases drivers' chances of getting into an accident and selfishly puts other road users at risk.
