He adds everything they have accomplished has been a joint effort between the national government and the people, with communities, the private sector, civil society organisations and the provincial councils.

The Prime Minister says Namada, Tubairata, and Mavua Village and also Hideaway Resort have benefited through the funds spent on water connectivity and improving water systems.

He says $3.7 million was used to build the Kulukulu wing of the Sigatoka Methodist Secondary School, the Teachers Quarters at St. Theresa Lisieux, the Ratu Lalabalavu High School in Malolo, and the Vatutoko Bainimaramara Primary School.

Bainimarama adds the government continues to promote education as one of the keys to a knowledgeable society.

The Head of Government revealed they have some big plans in the pipeline for the tourism sector, which includes the redevelopment of Vatulele Island Resort-a massive development that will transform the island and Fiji.
