70 RFMF soldiers depart for Golan Heights

70 RFMF soldiers have left Fiji for peacekeeping duties in the Golan Heights under the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force.

The contingent will relieve those who spent a year of peacekeeping duties in the Golan Heights.

Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Monty Naulumatua is leading the group.

The soldiers had completed six weeks of pre-deployment training at the Lololo Training area.
