Another outstanding day for Team Fiji at the Oceania Athletics Championships 2026, winning another 10 medals, including 7 gold medals.
Three athletes collected their second gold medals, including 15-year-old Veniana Ranadi, who jumped a distance of 5.13 metres to win the U16 girls long jump.
Farhan Ali dominated the U20 men's discus, winning with a throw of 48.39 metres, while Sitiveni Kuanaivalu leaped a distance of 6.61 metres to claim victory in the U20 men's long jump.

Other athletes who won gold are Samantha Lutu in the U20 women's long jump, Gladness Simpson in the U20 women's 1,500 metres, Veremo Vasuitoga in the U20 men's 400 metres, and Adi Ceva Lutumailagi in the U20 women's 400 metres.
In other results, Mosese Koroitunudau won silver in the U20 men's long jump, Nabili Vatunisoli collected silver in the ambulant women's discus, and Kirikiti Biu claimed bronze in the U16 boys 200 metres.
Meanwhile, St Joseph's Secondary School's Maryann Macedru set a new national record in the women's shot put with a throw of 14.76 metres.

She broke her own record of 14.74 metres set in 2025.
Coming up today, Suva Grammar's Paula Vonolagi will compete in the U20 200 metres heats at 12.30pm. He will compete alongside teammates Emosi Laqere and Veremo Vasuitoga.

Desmond Reddy will run in the U20 men's 5,000 metres final at 1.15pm, Samantha Lutu will aim for another gold in the U20 women's triple jump at 2pm, Mosese Koroitunudau will parrticipate in the U20 men's triple jump, while Ellijah Vakacegu will feature in the U16 400 metres final at 2.30pm.
