Seven young swimmers will be travelling with their coach, Paula Cokanasiga, to Sydney to take part in the Oceania Aquatics Training & Competition Camp, which will conclude on 20 December.

The seven swimmers are Reuben Taylor, Vivita Bai, Theola Kwong, Thaddeus Kwong, Charlina Simpson, Keenan Kostatino and Jemesa Younger.

Fiji Swimming says the elite programme is part of the LA 2028 and Brisbane 2032 Olympic Pathway Initiative, designed to develop emerging athletes across Oceania through high-performance training, international exposure, and competitive racing opportunities.

While in Australia, the Fiji team will also compete at the Senior State Age Championships, scheduled for 13–19 December at the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre.

The Fiji Swimming says the competition will provide the swimmers with opportunities to achieve qualifying times, measure their development against high-level benchmarks, and gain crucial international racing experience.

Fiji Aquatics extends its best wishes to the young athletes, encouraging them to represent Fiji with pride, give their best in every session and race, and make the most of the development opportunities the camp offers.
