68 confirmed cases of dengue fever have been recorded in the Northern Division this month.
According to the Health Ministry, the Labasa hospital laboratory is confirming two to three cases of dengue per day since the beginning of the year.
Spokesperson, Sunil Chandra said most of the people have been treated and are now well.
The Health Ministry reiterates that the current dengue fever outbreak is localized in Macuata subdivision and specifically in the rural areas of Labasa.
Chandra said the Health Authorities in the North have not reported any deaths due to dengue so far.
