Suva High Court Judge Justice Riyaz Hamza has sentenced a 67 year-old grandfather to 14 years and 6 months imprisonment for raping his grand daughter.
He was found guilty of five counts of rape and a count each of sexual assault and indecently annoying any person.
The incidents happened in Tailevu between 2012 to 2015.
The man was 61 years when he first committed the offence while the girl was 8 years old.
Justice Hamza has set a non parole period of 10 years and 6 months.
