Six people have been charged with the alleged unlawful possession of illicit drugs, specifically methamphetamine and will appear in the Nadi Magistrates Court today.

Police say the individuals were arrested on Sunday by a team from the Serious Organised Crime and Intelligence Department during a raid in Waqadra, Nadi.

They say the six are aged between 34 and 45, who are from Nadi and Lautoka.

Police add that during the raid, several plastic bags containing crystal-like substances were seized, which were later tested positive for methamphetamine.

All six have been charged with unlawful possession of illicit drugs.
