Six men charged with 17 counts of rape and assault involving a 14-year-old girl in 2020 have been remanded by the Nausori Magistrates Court.
Police say the victim and accused persons are from the same village.
A 22-year-old man was charged with 7 counts of rape while another 22-year-old man was charged with 8 counts of rape.
A 24-year-old man was charged with one count of rape.
A 25-year-old man and a 29-year-old were jointly charged with one count of rape while in the second matter, another man is jointly charged with a 24-year-old with assault causing actual bodily harm.
The case has been transferred to the Suva High Court and will be called on the 1st of October.
