Dranisinukula makes a return

Six Olympic gold medalists have been included in the Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team for the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England.

They are Josua Vakurinabili, Semi Kunatani, Jerry Tuwai, Waisea Nacuqu, Aminiasi Tuimaba and Sireli Maqala.

Former Men’s 7s captain Paula Dranisinukula has also been named in the 16-member team.

Dranisinukula last played for Fiji in 2020 in the Cape Town 7s.

Other consistent players on the World 7s Series this season that have made the team include Elia Canakaivata, Tevita Daugunu, Sevuloni Mocenacagi, Jerry Matana, Semi Kunatani, Philipo Bukayaro, Filipe Sauturaga, Kaminieli Rasaku, Vuiviawa Naduvalo and Manueli Maisamoa.

The Commonwealth Games 7s competition will take place from 30th July to 1st August.
