50 students from 14 schools within the Suva-Nausori corridor have graduated from the Bluelight camp programme.

Police Director Community Policing SSP Waqa Cavuilati says the programme ensures that young people are made aware of their responsibility as citizens while still at a young age.

Cavuilati says that during the course of the program, students are taught on how to discern what is good from the bad.

The Chairman of the Medical Mission to the South Pacific, Peter Drummond have confirmed that they will continue to sponsor the Bluelight event as they considered it as an important part of their mission to the South Pacific.

Drummond says that they are committed to improving the future of young people.

The Medical Mission to the South Pacific which is based in Auckland contributed NZ$25,000 towards the camp.
