The body of the 5-year-old girl, who was swept away near the Biausevu waterfall in Sigatoka has been recovered.
Police say her body was discovered along the Biausevu River. She is a foreign national.
They say Sigatoka Forensics and Criminal Investigations Department personnel have uplifted her body and escorted her to the Sigatoka Hospital mortuary.
In another incident in Sigatoka, the search is underway for a 50-year-old man who went missing in Tulahewa River yesterday afternoon.
The victim, upon returning from his farm, tried to swim across the river when he was swept away by strong currents.
Police say search efforts were initiated, and was called off last night with negative results.
They also continue the search for a 65-year-old man who was swept away by strong currents while attempting to cross a swollen river near Cogea village in Bua yesterday afternoon.
