5 people are in police custody for allegedly stoning a police vehicle in Naitasiri.
The incident occurred yesterday morning.
The officers were returning to Vunidawa Police Station after attending a report when their vehicle was stoned in Taulevu Village.
Chief Operations Officer, Abdul Khan says some officers were inside the police vehicle however no one was injured.
The police vehicle sustained some damage.
Khan adds if there is any attack on a police officer, they will get all their resources together and hunt for the suspects and people responsible will will be taken to task.
