A 47-year-old man has been charged for the alleged murder of his 28-year-old partner Karishma Chaudhry in Kerebula, Nadi over the weekend.
He will appear in the Nadi Magistrates Court today.
Police say the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions has sanctioned the charge of murder.
The man is accused of domestic violence, where the woman was found with visible injuries inside her home.
Police say the victim was eight months pregnant when she was allegedly killed by her abusive partner.
Police add that the suspect allegedly stabbed the victim, causing serious injuries that led to her death.
