A family in Vugalei, Lami, will be celebrating Christmas without their relative after a 43-year-old man was found lying motionless on the road along Vugalei Cemetery, Lami.
Divisional Police Commander South, SSP Wate Vocevoce, say the man is believed to have been drinking with his friends, then left the group and crossed the road.
He says the man was later discovered lying motionless on the road.
He was rushed to CWM Hospital but was pronounced dead by the Doctor on call.
SSP Vocevoce says the body is now being kept at the CWM Hospital mortuary awaiting post-mortem.
