Scotland goalkeeper Craig Gordon is set to become the oldest player at the FIFA World Cup in the United States this month, but the 43-year-old has not been handed the No.1 jersey.

Following the submission of Scotland's official squad list, Gordon has been assigned the No.21 shirt, while Angus Gunn will wear No.1 and Liam Kelly has been given No.12.

Manchester United midfielder Tyler Fletcher has been allocated the No.8 jersey after being called into the squad as a replacement for the injured Billy Gilmour.

Among the forwards, Lyndon Dykes will wear Scotland's No.9 shirt, Che Adams has been given No.10 and Lawrence Shankland will wear No.20.

The squad numbers may provide some indication of head coach Steve Clarke's plans for his starting lineup, with defender Grant Hanley assigned the No.5 jersey.

Scotland have already arrived in the United States and will play their final World Cup warm-up match against Bolivia at 9am on Sunday.

They will then begin their World Cup campaign against Haiti in Boston at 1pm FJT on Sunday 15th June before taking on Morocco and Brazil in their remaining group matches.

Gordon's inclusion in the squad means he is set to become the oldest player at this year's World Cup.
