4 to front court for alleged meth and marijuana possession in Vatuwaqa

The four men who were allegedly found with methamphetamine and marijuana during a drug raid at the Nanuku Settlement in Vatuwaqa on Saturday have been charged and will appear at the Suva Magistrates Court today.

Police say the four men, aged 45, 36, 28, and 18 years, have been jointly charged with two counts of unlawful possession of illicit drugs after analysis conducted on the seized substances were positive for methamphetamine and marijuana.

They had earlier said that the raid led to the discovery of a ziplock plastic bag containing white crystals suspected to be methamphetamine and a bag of dried leaves believed to be marijuana.
