4 Police Officers charged with assault remanded in custody
The four Police officers who allegedly assaulted a man during a drug raid in Wailea settlement in March 2024 have been remanded in custody.

Jekope Nakula, Maciu Tuira, Tokoni Nemia, and Unaisi Leka appeared before Suva Magistrate Charles Ratakele, charged with one count each of acts intended to cause grievous
harm.

The four are represented by Joji Cakau.

It is alleged that the four officers on the 15th and 16th of March 2024, continuously assaulted Stephen Serukalou O’Connor.

The case will be called again next Thursday.
