4 in custody for allegedly inciting violence to overthrow govt
Businesswoman Dr. Mere Samisoni and three other former politicians are expected to be charged with the offence, Urging Political Violence.

Permanent Secretary for Information, Sharon Smith Johns said the four include Samisoni, Mataiasi Ragigia, Apete Vereti and Semisi Lasike who will be charged in contrary to the Crimes Decree.

It is alleged that the four, between the months of September and December last year, in Suva intentionally conspired to overthrow by force of violence the Government of Fiji.

They are expected to appear at the Suva Magistrates Court this morning.
